Mentor Session Application

If you’re here, that means you (and your family!) are interested in joining us this summer at one of our mentor sessions! OR, you’re wondering if it’s really a free session, and you’re wondering how it works!

Right off the bat, YES these are free sessions. But they entail a lot of requirements - so please apply carefully!

There will be 1 - 4 sessions that require subjects this season. Sessions take place between June and August. All sessions are at Golden Hour.

Mentor Sessions are pre-planned lifestyle sessions that are designed to help beginner photographers build their portfolio. This means that the images taken by any and all of our photographers can be posted online, used in portfolios and website/social media use.

Outfit Obligations

Following the given colour palette and outfit suggestions is required. Each family receives a colour palette and it is your job to ensure you stick to it. You are also required to follow other outfit recommendations.

Session Time

Most sessions, if not all, will happen during golden hour. Families with younger children will need to consider their bedtime routine and apply accordingly. I do my best to keep families engaged and moving during sessions as I always do, but keep session time in mind if you are unsure whether it works for your family. Start time ranges from 6:30pm - 8:00pm

Adventure / Travel Session Fees

We have two potential travel sessions this year. One is a beach location approximately 2 hours away, where driving to and from the location in the same evening is recommended. The other location is over 3 hours away and will require a one night's hotel stay. The sessions are free for you but the fees that accompany travel sessions are your responsibility (mileage + hotel). Keep in mind these travel sessions only happen if we have enough photographers involved.

Application Deadline

All subject applications should be submitted by April 19th. Subjects will be chosen prior to May 1st and contacted directly.
