Ariel & Aaron | In the Weeds

Every year — in the summer — I offer mentor sessions for beginner photographers. These are shoots organized by me — where I pick the family (from a list of applicants), the location, the day/time and colour palette for outfits. We meet at the designated time and place, I go through my session workflow with the family and the other photographers begin snapping away! These sessions move a bit slower, as I am checking in with the others to answer questions and help with camera settings, but I always take photos myself too.

Our families need to be extra patient and okay with some standing around (more so than at a regular session with me). Ariel and Aaron and their kiddos, were the absolute best family for us to start these sessions with! Their colour palette came together SO nicely and the outfits chosen were perfect for this session. I chose this lovely (and very random) location — literally a random field full of weeds — but again it was gorgeous. The evening was fantastic and I absolutely love all of the photos I got from this session! Go ahead and scroll and check it out!
